As a sudden impromptu inspiration struck us this weekend, Eastonroyce and I suddenly had the urge to re-order the whole house. So we did. We spent all weekend moving, rearranging and cleaning various rooms and labelling them with names. The downstairs back room has been dubbed “Cassie’s Room” and now holds my desk and computer, new speakers, TV and DVD player, Excercise bike, Piano and lounge. I took down the crummy old curtains and replaced them with sheer sparkly silver ones and the blue astrology sign ones I stole from my old bedroom at my parents place. I strung my pretty pink beaded lights in the window, and have covered every wall with my favourite anime and dragon posters. Although I still haven’t finished setting it up, it is starting to really look and feel like a Cassie room, and will hopefully be a good place for me to relax.
Upstairs, what used to be the computer room has been claimed by Eastonroyce and is now labelled the “Radio Room.” This room looks awesome!! Easonroyce has moved his desk into the middle of the room facing the window. He has set up his computer along with his new podcasting kit and has a very professional looking microphone set up on the desk. And best yet – every space on the wall, floor to ceiling, is covered by anime, game and sci-fi posters! It looks so awesome! It has a really funky, studio feel to it. This is where Eastonroyce will be running his online CHGradio station from.
The room previously known as the “Storage Room” which is a funny little room branching off the lounge room, has now been rebadged “The Library” and will be filled with various bookshelves housing all our DVDs, books, Manga and PC and console games. We currently have one bookshelf in there which has a whole row and a half dedicated just to Stargate boxsets! We will eventually manage to move the rest of the junk out and hide all the wireless network equipment piled in the corner. We also plan to get to the garage at some point which will be known as the “Pool Room.” Hopefully we will get it cleaned up so we can actually start playing some pool in there.
This weekend we also re-covered the lounge, and finally got rid of our old fridge! (though it is still sitting in the kitchen at the moment…). Finally, no more frozen tomatoes and cucumbers, and no more making ice cubes in the fridge compartment!! Oh happy day!
