It is now 12:49am Saturday July 21st so I guess it is now officially Harry Potter book 7 day! I must admit, I am a little excited, even though it will still be several weeks before I get a chance to read the final book myself. It is going to be a boring release in Narrabri. I wish I lived in somewhere like Sydney, where people get a chance to gather and do bunch of potter-related activities. It makes me feel left out and lonely knowing that I will spend the day tomorrow (err today) alone. I would visit my family, but they will be no company as both my Mum and my brother are real Harry Pott-heads. They are HUGE fans. They will both be reading their copies of the final book all day. So I guess the release will be a very small event in my little world. I have put up my Harry Potter dragon poster in an attempt to get into the spirit. *sigh* I can see its going to be a lonely day.

Hey Chrnoncat,
It was a pretty sad release here in Coffs Harbour as well. No radio news about it, no nothing. We went to the stores, and there were plenty of copies for everyone to have seven books each. There was a good amount of kids (and adults) running around in “Harry Potter” style atire. I didn’t know what there were at first, until I saw kid in a transformers outfit, and then I made the connection with all the other strangely dressed people!
I love this new blog theme! It is coming together quite nicely!
Mum said there was aabout 30 people lined up outside Target at 9am waiting to get their copies. I think everyone grabbed their books and went straight home to read (or went grocery shopping at Woolworths – totally crazy busy now Woolies has no competition in town). Though I had fun dressing Ludo up as Harry Potter for the day ^_^
