easter-holidays-and-lan-parties

Ah a post! Finally! I realise that I’m getting longer delays between posts but it’s a sign of busy-ness not laziness I swear! Easter (my most favourite holiday of the year!) has been and gone and the year is flying by. Eastonroyce, Quin and I headed to Narromine with Mum to visit my Nan for Easter. It was a lovely Easter weekend involving lots of chocolate, UNO and the funny tv series As Time Goes By. The Easter morning service was fantastic, and Nan somehow managed to get chocolate melted on the new outfit Mum bought eating her first Easter egg of the day!! We went out for a yummy roast lunch at the pub and had a generally relaxing weekend which was much needed.

The weekend after Easter, Geoff and Sarah dropped in for the weekend on their way back from a week in Dubbo. We had an impromptu LAN party where we played some C&C Generals: Zero Hour, Mario Party and a bit of general ‘hang out in the same room and do your own thing’ time. (Popular activities consisted of sleeping, fighting computer problems, website updates and Facebook). We also went out for chinese which was yummy!

And, after a weekend of Sarah and Geoff visiting us, Eastonroyce and I went to visit them this weekend for Geoff’s birthday. We took Quin with us and the little bugger refused to get out of the car when we got there! He decided he was scared of Sarah and Geoff’s dog, Cuz, (who has the most beautiful personality) and decided he wanted to go back home! After about 20 minutes we did finally get him out of the car and into the house, much to Cuz’ dismay as she is an outdoor dog. Poor Cuz spent the weekend defending her food bowl (with or without food in it!) from our little critter, while he ran around doing whatever he wanted and crying everytime we left him outside. The majority of the weekend we spent playing Generals, but we also got in a game of Mario party and trip down to the Moree markets and went to a cafe for lunch on Sunday. Sarah cooked Geoff a yummy roast for his birthday dinner and after a few long games of Generals, we finally left and got back home just before midnight. Yay for daylight savings now being over!

Work the last week has been really hectic due to a Firewall upgrade which has been causing havok with the system. Last week I did 4 days at work and this week will be another 4. From now on, I’m having a shuffle of my work days, working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. This is my first official ‘Monday’ and I’m already experiencing the joys of Monday-itis! I’m sure I will get into the new routine quickly enough.

Next week will be another hectic weekend as Eastonroyce, Mum, Dad and I are heading over to Narromine for a wedding. Friday morning I will need to get my hair cut and coloured if I can. Friday afternoon we will drive over, and we should be back Sunday afternoon I think. I have no idea what I will wear to the wedding yet though, or what we are going to do with Quin!

Gosh I’m tired! I hope sometime soon I will get a weekend to just catch up on sleep -_- zzzzzz
