Easter EggsAh ha! Easter, my favouritist time of year has finally come and once again I am on a two week chocolate binge. Chocolate for breakfast, chocolate for lunch, chocolate for dinner – yum yum! But its not just the chocolate. Oh no. Hot cross buns! Yummy yummy! Though for some reason Andrew bought fruitless ones this year. Yuck. Didn’t stop me from eating more than my fair share though. It’s always fun to see just how much strain one can put their body through at this time of year. I for one am seeing how well my body can handle double the exercise with say ten times my normal daily caloric intake. I thought I was doing pretty good until I weighed myself on Wii Fit last night. Oh dear. Reviewing the fitness graph, I see a pattern emerging. I have steadily been gaining weight since Christmas. No more excuses. After my final two Easter eggs (a Darrel lea Licorice filled egg and a humpty dumpty one), it’s back to ’sensible’ eating for me. Plus, I feel like crap anyway.Coinciding with my favourite holiday was the release of The Last Remnant PC game on Steam. Woohoo! And what timing! My vow for Lent was to give up purchasing apps and music from Steam and itunes (did not include freebies though which is how I got the demo ^_^). Technically, I *did* end my Lent event a few days early. Afterall, the game did take 24 hours to download and I wanted to get in at least some gameplay over the long weekend. Sqaure Enix games are so pretty. Rush Sykes is a cutie, and David Nassau is just georgeous. But!! The bestest part is that the game was released with the option of Japanese or English audio tracks. Japanese all the way, baby! I wish ALL GAMES were like that! *sigh* I wish I was playing right now.

My two favourite characters!

As of late I have been thinking. Although I’m generally not a yaoi fan, I have noticed that in a lot of anime series and games, male characters tend to have far better chemistry with each other than male and female characters. I guess it’s because female characters are often portrayed in the same annoying stereotypes, and because male characters can be equally as pretty and feminine without the irritating personality quirks. Their relationships tend to be based on much stronger emotional bonds than mere physical attraction. I think these types of anime relationships are starting to grow on me (plus couples like Yuri / Wolfram are just so darn cute ^_^). Good thing too, as more and more shows incorporate these themes now as that is what the fandom wants!  Speaking of anime, right now I’m watching Code Geass and I absolutely love it. Pretty character designs (though what else can be expected from CLAMP) and a war-based storyline I can actually understand!! (so far). And Lelouch has the prettiest eye colour ever!! I want eyes that colour! Though right now I am loving my brand new “Romantic Violet” colour contact lenses. I decided I needed a change, so I now have spiky black, purple and blond hair with matching purple contacts. Goodbye annoying glasses which are constantly blurred by Quin’s nose prints! Goodbye, boring brown eyes! Hello weekly hairdying sessions… o_O
