Phew! It’s been a hectic couple of weeks. Animania Sydney was awesome! I will put up a dedicated page at some point with photos and comments from the actual event. The trip to Sydney was rather chaotic. There was a stuffup with our accomodation when we arrived on Friday. The place we were supposed to stay was renovating so they called us earlier in the week to say we were being sent elsewhere. When we arrived, the new place were told we weren’t suppose to be arriving until Saturday. The ultimate solution was to spend one night at the original place, then move to the other place for the following two nights. Due to the stuffing around required on the Saturday (and the ‘condition’ of our second location), we decided to scrap it all and find accommodation elsewhere. A ferry ride, Internet cafe stop, train ride and hike later, we were finally settled at the Travel lodge in the city. So much for my day of shopping! Read More…

That pretty much sums me up this week. I guess being home alone is finally starting to get to me as I’m now into the third (and final) week of Eastonroyce being away in Coffs Harbour. Last week I seemed to find a burst of motivation working on my blog design and such. This week I just can’t be bothered doing anything. It’s too cold to do anything. I guess winter really does cause seasonal depression.
I seem to have spent a great deal of time today staring blankly at my computer screen. My office is absolutely freezing! The reverse cycle airconditioner is split into two sections and I am unfortunate enough to be connected to the one which ventilates the server room. Thus, as a general rule I am not allowed to turn the heater up very high, which is no fun for a cold fish like me.
As slow and depressing as this week seems to be going, it is not all a total loss. I hired out 7 movies from the local video store to kill time, curled up in my beanbag with a blanket freezing to death while the dog sleeps in my chair next to the fire! So far I have watched The Family Stone which I absolutely loved. That is such a great movie! I want to watch it again before returning it next week. I have also watched Clockstoppers which wasn’t too bad. Though, I don’t understand how it is that teenagers in these movies all have new convertibles or classic ferraris. Where do they get all this money from?! And last night I watched Enemy of the State which I also really enjoyed. Will Smith is such an awesome actor – I like most movies he is in.
Other than oversleeping, eating and freezing, that is pretty much my week so far. Plus, having mum tell me every single day not to be late to work. *grits teeth.* I bumped into her at the corner store last night as we were both buying milk and she farewelled me with “Don’t be late for work.” I don’t even live with her and she continues to nag me! And its none of her business if I am late or not. *sigh* I wish I could just go to sleep for the rest of the week.
