busy-busy-busy

Here I was thinking 2008 was going to be a quiet year. Already I have lots of events coming up in the next few months, I will hardly have time to rest!

Last weekend Eastonroyce and I headed over to Moree to catch up with our friends Sarah and Geoff. I finally managed to convince Eastonroyce to leave Quin at my parents place for the weekend. Those two cannot be separated! Even when I left my lunch and wallet at home when I went to work last week, they both drove the half hour to and from Wee Waa to bring them out to me. That puppy has him wrapped around his paw!

Sarah and Geoff have two dogs and 5 puppies themselves at the moment. The puppies are only two weeks old and they are so cute! The first had only just opened its eyes while we were there. I swear they were the fattest little puppies I had ever seen. There was no runts in this litter – all 5 were as plump as plump can be! The puppies’ mother is a good mum, although her fear of thunder is a higher priority then the puppies safety. She left the poor little things in a puddle of water during a storm and ran to hide in the shed!

Sarah and I went shopping for clothes and swimmers on Saturday morning and we all went swimming at the local pool on Saturday afternoon. We spent rest of the weekend playing Nintendo games and customising Miis. We played our usual games of Mario Party and Monkey Ball Blitz, and tried out Big Brain Academy which turned out to be a lot of fun. Sarah and I tried out our sniping skills with Links Crossbow training (Sarah hid behind the lounge and everything! Very authentic). Eastonroyce and Geoff talked geek stuff and Sarah and I made a yummy honeycomb cheesecake. Overall we had a really good weekend.

This weekend I believe will be a nice quiet one at home. The following weekend is the Australia Day long weekend, then Andrew and I will be heading over to Coffs Harbour for the last week of January to set up the TAFE computer labs. On the 15th of Feb mum has some concert thing to go to but on the 23rd, Mum and I are going to Sydney for the weekend to see the Billy Elliot musical and go on a Sweet Sunday walking tour around the city sampling chocolates and coffee! Yuuuumm!!! Sometime during the Easter holidays I believe I have a wedding to go to, and at some point I need to go visit my Nan in Narromine. So busy!!
