Oh boy. Today I am suffering from a severe sugar hangover – as can be deduced from the post heading. This weekend has just been one sweet treat after another, and thankfully, the weekend is finally over! Friday was my birthday (yay me!), which was a lovely overcast, rainy day. Mum, Dad and Shadowfire came over to visit in the afternoon, bringing with them a birthday cake, box of chocolates and an awesome outdoor dining setting perfect for the back patio, so we had a lovely afternoon tea. Eastonroyce took me out to the Outback Shack for dinner, which was lovely – their desserts are to die for, especially the Chocolate Suicide! – YUUUUUUUMMM!! However, we were a little slow getting in the door as we both got bailed up for not having RSL memberships and had to apply before being let in.
Saturday was a quiet day which involved cake, gardening and tonnes of Need for Speed Carbon. On Sunday we had a church pancake luncheon in which half the congregation brought along their electric frypans, only for everyone to discover half-way through cooking that the entire church hall and kitchen is wired on a single electrical circuit. The power kept get getting thrown every time more than 3 frypans were simultaneously connected. -_-’ But the finished product tasted all right! Sweet and Savoury pancakes – my favourites are sweet pancakes with maple syrup and whipped cream – tastes just like caramel ^_^ I certainly had more than my fair share of pancakes. Stuffed to the brim with pancakes, I mentaly declared myself satisfied of sweets and was ready to get back to normal eating. Until Eastonroyce bought neopolitan icecream for dinner.

Monday of course was a difficult day. After having so much sugar, I woke up with a headache. This headache lead to a craving for more sugar. About 2pm in the afternoon, I started to go a little crazy – Darrel Lea assorted soft centre chocolates seem to be the personification of all my cravings. After rolling around on the floor, and being a general nuisance to Eastonroyce, he finally gave me permission to go buy my chockies. Yay! So off I went on a 5 minute mission downtown to get Darrel Lea chocolates which I proceeded to wolf down for the rest of the afternoon. By dinner time, I was convinced my daily sugar level was already so badly blown out of proportion that more icecream for dessert couldnt hurt. So, obviously not a good day. But hey, at least I did work at home for once! The Microsoft Exchange server is *mostly* working.

Today I just feel like I’ve been run over by a truck.

Back on the diet wagon once again!
